Turns out that on-screen chemistry doesn’t translate into real life! Check out the next list of TV co-stars who hated each other in real life! Once the cameras were off, these guys and girls could not stand each other!
Take a look at the list! Some you might know weren’t buddies, but others will surely come as a shock!
1. Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic, Castle
Rumors that the Castle co-stars couldn’t stand each other have been going around for far too long and far too often for them not to be true. In fact, these two reportedly had to attend couples counseling to make things work on set. More so, a source told US Weekly that they “completely despise each other” and that “they will not speak when they are off set“. This is why everyone should stop being so shocked that Stana Katic is exiting the show in Season 9.
2. Julianna Margulies & Archie Panjabi, The Good Wife
Fans of The Good Wife are well aware of the on-going feud between Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi. Rumor has it that these two disliked each other so much, they weren’t even able to film a scene together for over two years! More so, Panjabi’s last appearance was CGI magic. The final scene with her character and Julianna’s was the result of CGI!
3. Sophia Bush & Chad Michael Murray, One Tree Hill
There’s a reason why you shouldn’t get romantically involved with your co-worker. Or in this case, co-star. Things got very bad, very quickly for One Tree Hill‘s Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray after they feel in love and had a quickie wedding. Murray reportedly cheated on Sophia and the couple got a divorce. Needless to say, their on-screen and off-screen relationship was ruined.
4. Sarah Jessica Parker & Kim Catrall, Sex and the City
BFFs on screen, not so much off-screen. Rumor has it, there was a big rift between SJP and Kim Catrall, while they were filming Sex and the City. The reason? Allegedly Catrall was not happy that Parker’s salary was way higher than the rest of the casts’. Seems like a pretty good reason.
5. Lea Michele & Naya Rivera, Glee
Lea Michele and Naya Rivera’s dislike for each other was no secret on the set of Glee. The two kept butting heads during filming and, rumor has it, Lea was desperate to get Naya off the show. As it turns out, Santana, Rivera’s character, was indeed written off in Season 5.
6. T.R. Knight, Isaiah Washington, Patrick Dempsey, Grey’s Anatomy
T.R. Knight and Isaiah Washington’s controversial feud is no secret. Washington made a homophobic slur about Knight, which led to his firing. What is less known is that the slur was blurted out during a fight, allegedly a violent one, Washington had with Dempsey.
7. Kiefer Sutherland & Freddie Prinze Jr, 24
Kiefer Sutherland and Freddie Prinze Jr. were no buddies during their work on 24. Freddie revealed that “Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That’s not me talking thrash; I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that. I just wanted to quit the business after that.” The actor also added that doing 24 was “horrible“.
8. Blake Lively & Leighton Meester, Gossip Girl
Source: The CW
They had their on & off friendship both on and off-screen. Leighton Meester and Blake Lively reportedly had a big cooling off during the last two seasons of Gossip Girl and they are not on speaking terms.
9. Teri Hatcher & the rest of the Desperate Housewives
Wisteria Lane drama translated off-screen as well, according to numerous reports. It was well known that Teri Hatcher wasn’t close to any of her Desperate Housewives co-stars, but rumor has it she butted heads most with Marcia Cross. Eva Longoria also confirmed the rumors by revealing that Hatcher “was just a loner. I don’t know. Me and Marcia and Felicity were a lot closer because we are just girlie girls who like to be in each other’s company. Teri didn’t.”
10. Charlie Sheen & Selma Blair, Anger Management
Charlie Sheen not getting along with yet another co-worker? No surprise here. Sheen got his Anger Management co-star, Selma Blair, fired after he heard that she complained about his work ethic. According to some reports, Sheen went as far as to send Blair offensive messages and texts and even called her a “c*nt” in one of them.
There you have it. A list of TV co-stars who hated each other when the cameras were off. Do you know others?
