Amber Heard has filed for divorce from Johnny Depp.
After 15 months of marriage, Heard and Depp have decided to put an end to their relationship.
The actress, 30, who met Johnny, 52, on the set of “The Rum Diary“, was the one who filed for divorce, citing the classic irreconcilable differences.
The news of the divorce comes three days after Depp’s mother passed away, and also follows months of controversy regarding the couple after Amber illegally brought the couple’s two dogs in Australia. As you know, they filmed an apology video that went viral.
According to TMZ, the divorce papers were filed on Monday and according to Amber, the separation took place on May 22nd.
The couple had no prenup and Amber is asking for spousal support. Depp has filed his response through lawyer Laura Wasser and is asking the judge to reject his wife’s request for spousal support.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp got engaged in December 2014 and married in February 2015 in LA, with a celebration in the Bahamas following shortly.
Depp’s new movie “Alice Through The Looking Glass” will be released on Friday and on Monday he was in the UK for the London premiere, despite the divorce news.
